In the last week I've noticed that Baby Sharon is now interested in bath toys. This means she tries to grab them, and if they're out of her grasp, she'll lean forward from her seat and try to get them that way.
On further reflection, the ability to do this, seems to require several constituent parts; spatial recognition (seeing what it is), desire for objects (wanting the toy) and the knowledge and ability to influence your environment (realize you can get it, and reaching for it). On the whole, an amazingly complex set of things. All to grab a floating pig.
